Greece’s health authorities announced on Wednesday 23,748 coronavirus cases and 44 deaths in the last 24 hours. The number of intubated Covid-patients has decreased further to 354.

Since the pandemic began, Greece has confirmed 2,708,620 infections (daily change: +0.9%). In the confirmed cases of the last 7 days, 211 infections are related to travel from abroad and 1,564 to other confirmed cases.
Rolling average 21,013 from 15,307 last week.
44 deaths recorded in the last 24 hours brought the total of pandemic victims to 26,730. Of these, 95.2% had an underlying condition and/or were aged 70 or over.
354 patients are on ventilators in hospitals. Their median age is 69 years and 90.7% have an underlying condition and/or are aged 70 or over.
Of the total in ventilation, 227 (64.12%) are unvaccinated or partly vaccinated and 127 (35.88%) are fully vaccinated.
4,373 have been discharged from ICUs since the pandemic began.
345 Covid-19 patients were admitted to hospital in the last 24 hours (daily change: +16.55%). The average daily admission of patients with Covid-19 to hospitals over the last 7 days was 303.
The median age of new infections is 36 years (range: 0.2 to 106 years), while the median age of the deceased is 79 (range: 0.2 to 106 years).
