Greece reduces self-tests in schools, increases capacity in sports stadiums

Greece’s epidemiologists’ committee gave on Wednesday the green light for fewer weekly tests for vaccinated students and teachers as well as the increase of capacity at sports stadiums.

The committee recommended that teachers and students will gave to do only one self-test per week from two until now.

The measures will be implemented as of April 1, 2022.

Regarding the sports events and spectators, the committee decided to lift any capacity restrictions and allow full capacity of 100%.

A relevant joint ministerial decision is to be published in the coming days with full details.

At the meeting on Wednesday, the committee has not decided for further relaxation of other measures and restrictions.

  1. “Regarding the sports events and spectators, the committee decided to lift any capacity restrictions and allow full capacity of 100%” with the number of cases still being very high they are lifting capacity of spectators? They might as well get rid of all restrictions. We should start to learn to live with COVID, it’s not going anywhere.
