Greece’s health authorities announced on Thursday 7,580 new coronavirus cases and 48 Covid-related deaths death in the last 24 hours. The number of intubated Covid-patients in hospitals across the country stands at 260.
Total confirmed infections since the pandemic began are 3,309,962 (daily change: +0.2%).
Of the daily total, reinfections are estimated at 233 in the last 24 hours, while their total since the pandemic began is estimated at 121,976 (3.6%% of the total positive results).

48 deaths recorded in the last 24 hours brought the total pandemic victims to 29,073. Of these, 95.5% had an underlying condition and/or were aged 70 or over.
260 Covid-patients are on ventilators in hospitals. Their median age is 71 years, 93.1% have an underlying condition and/or are aged 70 or over.
Of the total on ventilators, 143 (55%) are unvaccinated or partly vaccinated and 117 (45%) are fully vaccinated.
4,601 patients have been discharged from ICUs since the pandemic began.
191 Covid-19 patients were admitted to hospital in the last 24 hours (daily change: +1.6%). The average admission of patients with Covid-19 to hospitals over the last 7 days was 175.
The median age of new infections is 36 years (range: 0.2 to 112 years), while the median age of the deceased is 79 (range: 0.2 to 106 years).
