For the first time Greece hosts one of the most legendary exercises in the world, the NATO Tiger Meet 2022, with a history of 60 years. The drill is hosted by the Hellenic Air Force 335 Squadron.
From Monday 9 to Friday 20 May 2022, the NATO Tiger Meet 2022 Medium Scale Multinational Air Exercise is being held at 116th Combat Wing in the Air Base of Araxos in Peloponnese.
NATO Tiger Meet 22 is hosted for first time by the Hellenic Air Force 335 Squadron, Greece 🇬🇷@NATO members🇧🇪🇫🇷🇨🇿🇮🇹🇪🇸🇳🇱🇵🇱🇵🇹🇩🇪 and partners🇨🇭🇦🇹 will fly together 9-20 May.

Purpose of the exercise is to provide high quality is to provide high quality operational training in the spirit of “train as you fight” by improving the skills and cooperation of members in conducting complex operations.

The exercise will be conducted throughout the Athens FIR, with the participation of a large number of air assets from the host country of Greece as well as from Belgium, France,Italy, Czech Republic, Spain, Poland, Portugal Netherlands, Germany as well as partners Switzerland and Austria.
The TIGER mascot at the opening ceremony on Tuesday went viral on Greek Twitter.
