A 14-year-old boy is being hospitalized in serious condition after a fire broke out at the refugee facility of Elaionas in Athens early on Wednesday.
According to the Health Ministry, the minor is suffering from burns and respiratory problems and has been intubated at the Aghia Sophia Children Hospital.
Three containers housing refugees were completely incinerated, along with half of a fourth container, while the strong heat also ignited a fabrics warehouse outside the perimeter of the facility, which was also half burned down.
18 firefighters with 5 engines managed to take the fire under control.
