Greece’s health authorities announced on Friday 18,948 coronavirus cases plus 3,929 reinfections in the last 24 hours, that is a total of 22,877 infections. 22 Covid-related deaths have been recorded in the same period. The number of intubated Covid-patients in hospitals ICUs stands at 101. Hospital admissions of Covid-patients jumped on 362 in last 24 hours.

EODY BRIEFING
While the country is in the middle of the summer wave, EODY announced that it will halt its daily bulletin on coronavirus cases and will report collectively data only once a week, Fridays. On Friday, July 8, however, EODY announced that it will continue its daily bulleting until Sunday, July 10.
The weekly briefings will take place Tuesday and not Fridays, the announcement stressed adding that the first weekly briefing will take place on Tuesday, July 12,2022.
Covid-quarantine
At the same time, the government ruled that there is no 5-day quarantine for tourists positive with Covid-19, but only for citizens at home.(Details here).

22 deaths recorded in the last 24 hours brought the total of pandemic victims to 30,22. Of these, 95.7% had an underlying condition and/or were aged 70 or over.
101 Covid-patients (62.4% men) are on ventilators in hospitals. Their median age is 72 years and 92.1% have an underlying condition and/or are aged 70 or over.
Of the total in intubation, 36 (35.64%) are unvaccinated or partly vaccinated and 65 (64.36%) are fully vaccinated.
4,741 have been discharged from ICUs since the pandemic began.
362 Covid-patients were admitted to hospital in the last 24 hours (daily change: +8.71%. The average admission of patients with Covid-19 to hospitals over the last 7 days was 301.
The median age of new infections is 37 years (range: 0.2 to 112 years), while the median age of the deceased is 80 (range: 0.2 to 106 years).
