The Hellenic and Israeli Air Forces took part in a joint exercise called “Frizis Damas 2022”, on Tuesday, July 12, within the Tel Aviv FIR, while aerial refueling took place within the Nicosia FIR.
The Hellenic Air Force participated in the exercise with eight F-16 aircraft of the 115th Fighter Wing, while the Israeli Air Force with two F-16 aircraft, two F-15I aircraft, and two B-707 aerial refueling aircraft.
The name of “Frizis Damas” derives from Mordehai Frizis and Bishop Damaskinos.
“Frizis Damas 2022” is part of the Defense Cooperation Program 2022 program between the two countries.
