Unvaccinated health staff – except doctors – who return to work as of 1. January 2023, must wear a high-protection mask and submit two coronavirus tests a week, the Health Ministry announced on Wednesday.
The protocol refers to unvaccinated nurses, administrative personnel and other hospital staff except doctors.
Doctors, nurses, and other health staff who were suspended after refusing to be vaccinated during the pandemic will be returning to work following a high-court decision striking down the extension of their suspension.
The ministry’s decision regarding the protocol for unvaccinated health workers is based on recommendation by the coronavirus experts committee.
A decision regarding the return for unvaccinated doctors is pending, expected is reportedly a stricter protocol..
“For doctors, where the greatest concern lies for their return to work, there will be another meeting of the experts committee with its final recommendations,” the health ministry said in a statement.
