Rhodes welcomed its first cruise ship of the year on Sunday, January 1, 2023. MSC’s ‘Lirica’ brought 1,787 tourists to the popular island in the south-eastern Aegean Sea.
The passengers were welcomed at the island at 10:00 a.m. with a brief ceremony onboard the cruise ship for the exchange of gifts.
Τhe passengers include Italian, French, Spanish, American, and British nationals.
According to local daily rodiaki.gr, the tourists had sight seeing tours, however, they were not able to visit museums and archaeological sites that are traditionally closed on the first day of the year.
