Bus Line X80 for Piraeus-Acropolis-Athens resumes services

Express bus line X80 “Piraeus-Acropolis-Athens” has been resumed summer service on the streets of Athens since June 3, 2023.

The routes have resumed due to summer and with the aim of providing the best possible service to citizens and tourists.

The X80 bus line will run routes connecting the PPA cruise ship terminal in Piraeus (Xaveri Beach and Miaouli Beach) with the Acropolis and the center of Piraeus with that of Athens, while it will pass, on its way back to Piraeus, from “Cultural Center of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation”.

Line X80 covers circularly in approximately 60 minutes, a distance of 27 kilometers, that is passengers can reach the center of Athens from the port of Piraeus and vice versa within half an hour.

It consists of a total of 16 stops, highlighting points of Piraeus and Athens of particular tourist interest, such as the Acropolis Museum, the Archaeological Museum of Piraeus, the Planetarium, the Municipal Theater of Piraeus, the National Museum of Contemporary Art and the “Cultural Center of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation” .

There are stops at the two exits of the cruise terminal in PPA, in the center of Piraeus, at the “Neo Faliro” metro station (Karaiskaki Stadium), at the “Sygrou-Fix” metro station, at the “Cultural Center of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation”, at the Acropolis and in Syntagma, with separate boarding and disembarking points for passengers.

From the intermediate stops of the bus line, it is possible to get transfer:

  • at main Metro stations (“Sygrou-Fix”, “Neo Faliro” and “Syntagma”)
  • on bus lines X96 (from Piraeus) and X95 (from Syntagma) to Athens International Airport “El. Venizelos”

The routes will be operated on a daily basis every 40 minutes, from 7:00 a.m. to 9:15 p.m. ,departing from the starting point on the coast of Xaveri in Piraeus.

Bus line X80 ticket price:

The daily ticket for unlimited journeys, worth 4.10 euros, which enables the passenger to move within the same day and throughout the rest of the OASA network.

The tourist ticket, worth 20 euros, with which the passenger moves unlimitedly for three days throughout the network, including his movement to and from the Athens International Airport “El. Venizelos”.

Bus routes for line “Piraeus-Acropolis-Athens” and bus stops (in Greek only) will be posted on the telematics application.

Bus X80 service runs until October 2023.
