Several ancient Greek artifacts were found hidden in a forested area of Mount Parnitha in northern Athens on Thursday, June 15.
The antiquities were taken by a team of police officers to the Department of Cultural Heritage and Antiquities of the Attica Security Directorate to be examined by an archaeologist of the Ephorate of Antiquities of Western Attica.
According to the Police, the archaeologist said that part of the objects found fall under the protective provisions of the Antiquities Protection Law, while the rest need further investigation.
The ancient objects found:
Lamp 11 cm long
6 cm high Corinthian arybalus
Part of a preserved clay spice jar, height -8.5- centimeters and
Part of a fusillade-shaped incense container with a height of -11.5- centimeters.

13 cm tall amphora
Black-shaped lekythos 33 cm high
15 cm tall three-leafed vine
Vase 31 cm high

Bronze figurine of a male figure 10 cm high

Bronze figurine of a female figure 9 cm high

The antiquities will be handed over for safekeeping and final evaluation to the Archaeological Collection of Acharnes.
The case file will be submitted to the Criminal Prosecutor of Athens.
It is unclear how the antiquities were found.
