An underage child was found unconscious in a hotel swimming pool on the island of Rhodes on Sunday. Police arrested the hotel owner because there was no lifeguard.
The boy of Polish nationality was found in the pool by other tourists of the hotel, panic prevailed, they started screaming for help alerting everyone in charge.
Hotel employees rushed to the pool and took the boy out of the water, while at the same time an ambulance and police were informed.
The child was taken to the local hospital where doctors managed to revive it and stabilize its health condition.
Local police arrested the manager of the hotel in Archangelos area as there was no lifeguard at the time of the near-tragedy in the pool.
Police investigates the incident especially before the boy was found alone in the pool.
the child was spending summer vacation with his family on Rhodes, reports website newsit.gr.
What is interesting is that there is no media reports about the involvement of the boy’s family in the whole rescue procedure.
Strange if every hotel pool needs a live guard.
Where were the parents, they should be the ones getting arrested.
