Greek authorities foiled the illegal entry of 2,720 undocumented migrants into the country between August 14 and 17, 2023. it was announced on Sunday.
During the same time frame, police apprehended 85 undocumented migrants, as stated in the same announcement.
Furthermore, the authorities successfully apprehended 29 human traffickers, with 12 of them being detained in the Evros region, near the Turkish border.
The announcement did not specified whether the “foiled illegal entry” meant “pushbacks.”

What do they mean by illegal entry? It’s absolutely legal to enter if one wishes to apply for asylum or reach a country where one will do so.
