The holiday opening hours for retail shops resume on Wednesday, ahead of the New Year.
Shops will be open from 09:00 until 21:00 on week days and from 09:00 until 18:00 on Saturdays. Shops will also open on Sunday, December 31 from 11:00 until 18:00.
Shops will be closed on January 1 and 2, 2024.
Operation hour return to normal as of Jan 3, however, shops and supermarkets are closed on Epiphany day, Jan 6.
On holidays schedule are also public transport means, the Metro and the Tram, in Athens, until Epiphany, January 6, when they will run with fewer services.
All rail services will stop running at 23:00 on New Year’s Eve.
