Ferries and ships returned to normal schedules as of midday on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, following restrictions due to gale-force winds since Monday night.
Ferries sailed from the port of Piraeus to the Cycladic Islands, Crete, and the Dodecanese Islands after the winds dropped in instensty.
However, sailing restrictions are still in place for the Saronic Gulf, where only closed-type boats may sail, and the port of Rafina in south-east Attica, where a sailing ban continues.
Schedulees from the port of Lavrio, also in south-east Attica, are also back to normal, media reported Wednesday afternoon.
Check with local port authorities and travel agents for possible schedule changes.
