All 23 crew members of the Greek-flagged freighter “Sea Champion” were reported to be safe and well on Monday, after the ship narrowly evaded a double missile attack while sailing off the coast of Aden in Yemen.
Both missiles fell short of the mark, exploding in the sea about 15 meters from the ship. The only damage was a shattered window.
There were five Greeks among the crew, according to the latest announcement by the shipping and island policy ministry.
The ship was carrying a bulk cargo of wheat from Argentina to Yemen.
