Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis is scheduled to meet with US President Joe Biden in Washington on April 4,
This was announced by the US Ambassador to Greece, George Tsiounis on Wednesday, Mega TV reported.
However, government sources state to state-run news agency amna: “We are currently in discussions and have not yet received confirmation for any date.”
The Greek prime minister will attend the event that is traditionally held every year at the White House for the anniversary of the Greek Revolution of 1821. In same occasion the bilateral meeting will be held.
At the Mitsotakis-Biden meeting, all issues concerning Greece and the US are reportedly expected to be discussed, such as armaments, energy and the strategic relationship between the two countries. Also, reference will be made to Ukraine, the Middle East, the eastern Mediterranean and Greek-Turkish relations.
It is recalled that the Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis was going to travel to the USA last January, however, he fell ill with the flu and the trip was cancelled.
