Two women were killed in Veria, northern Greece, when a car collided with a bus stop on Monday morning.
The 68-year-old Greek victim died on the spot, while the 21-year-old student of Albanian origin succumbed to her injuries in the hospital despite the doctors’ efforts to keep her alive.
The incident occurred around 09:40 a.m. at village Patrida, along the Veria-Skydra provincial road.

The 64-year-old driver lost control of his vehicle that drove on the opposite lane colliding with the bus stop where the two victims were waiting for the bus. He first hit the older woman and then the younger one.
He alleged o police that he felt dizzy, media reported.
He has been arrested and hospitalized for preventive reasons. Samples to check possible levels of alcohol in his blood have been taken.
He faces charges for homicide by negligence.
The bus the two victims were waiting for was just 50 meters away, it was a matter of minutes that they would get on.
Authorities launched an investigation into the real causes of the fatal accident.
