Nine students and one teacher of EPAL high school in Amfissa, central Greece, were taken to the hospital after a fire broke out in the school building.
Firefighters rushed to the area and extinguished the fire.
As the building was engulfed in smoke, students and a teacher experienced breathing problems and were taken to the Amfissa hospital for first aid due to respiratory problems from smoke inhalation.
According to media, the students had a Carnival construction inside the school and the fire started there.
A video by local TVStar shows fire smoke coming from inside the school and students urge those inside to come out.
The Amfissa fire department is conducting a preliminary investigation into the exact causes of the fire.
Meanwhile, 8 students and the teacher were released from hospital, one remained for preventive reasons.
