Six passengers on a public bus were lightly injured in a traffic accident in Liosia suburb of western Athens on Monday morning..
According to police, while the bus was driving down Megalou Alexandrou Avenue when it veered off course and collided with a light pole.
The driver allegedly lost control of the vehicle while he was trying to avoid another traffic accident.
As recorded in the photos obtained by newsit.gr, the front of the bus was destroyed by the collision.
Police and an ambulance immediately rushed to the scene.
“I tried in every way to hold back as much as I could,” the driver told media.
