On behalf of the Greek government, Foreign Minister Giorgos Gerapetritis expressed condolences to the government of Iran and the Iranian people for the death of president Ebrahim Raisi, the foreign minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and another seven people, killed in a helicopter crash on Sunday.
Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and other officials crashed in mountainous area amid bad weather
A total of nine people, among them officials were on board when the aircraft crashed in a mountainous area amid bad weather in northern Iran’s East Azerbaijan province.
The death was announced hours later as mobilized rescue teams had difficulties to reach the crash site.

I guess it is protocol but this evil man was responsible for the death of thousands and the persecution of anybody that dared to speak out against the regime. A regime that hangs people in public. They called him the Butcher of Tehran.
I hope it is the beginning of end of that evil regime and that the people of Iran will be free. But I am afraid that the bloodshed will be big.
