A 2-year-old girl suffered extensive burn injuries while her father was trying to fill his car with gasoline with a can.
The toddler was standing next to the father when ignition occurred during the procedure and the girl’s clothes got fire.
The vehicle was in the yard of the family home in Kavallari suburb of Thessaloniki.
The toddler was initially transferred to a local hospital but on Tuesday she was transported with an air ambulance to one of the children’s hospital in Athens.
60% of the child’s body has burn injuries.
