EU elections Greece: Exit polls show clear win for ND

Ballot boxes in Greece for the European Elections closed at 7 p.m. on Sunday, and the Exit Polls published one minute later show a  victory for ruling conservative New Democracy. However, the real winner of these elections is voters’ abstention that reaches around 68%.

Note that the results of the exit polls do not include the 187,000 postal votes.

KKE: 7.9% – 10.3%
Greek Solution: 7.6% – 10%
Niki: 2.9% – 4.9%
Course of Freedom: 2.6 – 4.6%
MeRA25: 2% – 4%
Voice of Reason: 2.2% – 3.6%
Democrats: 0.7% – 1.7%
New Left: 1.3% – 2.7%
Patriots: 1.4% – 2.8%
Cosmos: 0.5% – 1.5%

First official results are expected around 9 p.m. and final results around 11 p.m.

Many Greeks chose the beach over the ballot boxes.
