Violence among Greece’s teenagers out of control (video)

Violent incidents among teenagers have gone out of control in recent days with Greece’s authorities apparently unable to find solutions to a social problem that is growing day by day.

Whether inside or outside the school, incidents of brutal violence seem are getting more frequent, the severity of conflicts between teenagers is immense.

Targeting young children by their peers appears to become a normality – in some cases also accepted by the attackers’ parents.

Brutal beating of 14-year-old girl in Glyfada

It was just last Saturday night, when a group of youngsters brutally beat a 14-year-old girl in Glyfada suburbs of southern Athens,

Footage from the incident showed the victim being brutally beaten first by one and then by a second girl of the same age.

One of the attackers appear to have skills in martial arts, and is filmed punching the victim in the face, then knocking her to the ground kicking her in the head and the body.

A group of some 25 youngsters more or less of the same age have formed a circle and watching the abuse. Soon, they joined the attack, grab the 14-year-old girl, tried to remove her clothes and even set her hair on fire, as parapolitika.gr reported.

At some point, the 14-year-old girl passed out and the other youngsters kept beating her.

The victim survived heavily injured and covered in blood and after adult passersby intervene.

Speaking to media, the man who saved the girl said “a large group of children appeared, 30 to 40 people, half girls, half boys and they created a kind of arena, they sat around with their arms crossed and watched 5 little girls in the middle, swearing at each other.” He added that some of the teenagers moved also against him but dispersed when he told them he had called the police.
According to media reports, the girl has been bullied by the same group of classmates since May, with a similar attack occurring earlier this month.
The victim’s parents filed a complaint to local police station. Officers arrested two girls and three of their legal guardians.
One of the attackers’ father has reportedly told the school principal that the 14-year-old “deserved what happened to her.”

A third suspect has not been identified and is being sought. media reported on Wednesday that this person was an adult over 25 years old, with significant tattoos.

Bloody attack of 16-year-old by minors in Thessaloniki

On Sunday evening, a group of six minors, aged 14 and 15 years old, attacked and injured a 16-year-old boy and his 14-yar-old friend.

According to media information, the six minors attacked the boy but also the girl  with a metal pipe

The incident took place near the girl’s house in Polihni suburb of Thessaloniki, northern Greece. The six approached the boy and the girl and attacked them with rage. One of the perpetrators was holding a metal pipe and attacked the 16-year-old with it, while the 14-year-old girl also fell victim to the attack.

The minors were arrested after a complaint to local police station. Police found the metal pipe at the scene, as well as a butterfly knife in the possession of one of the juveniles.

After the attack, the 16-year-old was taken to the AHEPA hospital, where he had to be hospitalized for almost 48 hours, while the 14-year-old girl was taken to the “Gennimatas” hospital, where she was discharged after receiving first aid.

A case filed has been filed, the six arrested teenagers were released by order of the prosecutor, while police ordered a preliminary examination to investigate whether the crime of dangerous bodily harm, serially and by complicity, is established.

Attack with sharp object in school

A second case of bullying took place on Tuesday, after two minors threatened and assaulted another minor with a sharp object in the courtyard of a school complex in the port town of Ermionida in Argolida, eastern Peloponnese.

Authorities have filed charges of simple bodily harm, threats, and violations of weapon laws against two minors arrested on Tuesday evening in Ermioni, a small port town on the Argolida peninsula in the Peloponnese.

Police arrested the attackers and filed charges of simple bodily harm, threats, and violations of weapon laws. the minors’ parents have been also taken into custody, facing charges for neglecting their supervisory responsibilities.

  1. Feral minors should be treated as adults and sentenced accordingly with their parents serving the sentences. The feral minors should then be sent to a special place of detention for behavioural training.

  2. Gather together a collective of over entitled, under punished , consumer driven super brats , then spend twenty years telling them they are with out a doubt the smartest people on earth, then watch a mess of your own making unfurl.
    Then add in a portion of the rapidly increasing dysfunctional southern European family unit , once the envy of the world , and boom.
