A 33-year-old former police officer and popular TikTok influencer has been charged with drug trafficking following his appearance before a prosecutor on Tuesday.
The ex-officer was arrested on Monday by the department’s internal affairs division. Authorities had reportedly launched an investigation into his activities prior to his resignation and thus following a tip off.
According to ANT1 TV, his colleagues have been monitoring him since November 2024, when an e-mail reached them claiming that the officer was offering “protection” at a night club where drugs but also women were trafficked.
He had recently resigned from the police force after ten years in service.
He was arrested on Monday, August 4, when he went to he went to Police by himself, as he needed a document from his previous service. There he was informed about the investigation against him and that they would conduct a search at his home would follow. There, another man, temporarily hosted by the ex officer, tried to get rid of cocaine weighing 153 grams in the bathroom.
His former colleagues reportedly do not rule out that he had resigned from Police because he had possibly realized that something was wrong.
In his home, the search team reportedly found and confiscated also anabolic steroids, cartridges, a baseball stick, and his official identity card, which he had stated that he had lost.
He is a former deputy police officer who served in the patrol cars of the Attica Immediate Action Unit.
The ex police officer gained a lot of publicity on TikTok by posting videos with comments on social and labor issues as well as many critical of the Hellenic Police leadership,
He had over 300,000 followers and he was promoting a profile of a socially sensitive police officer, helping needy elderly and youngsters.
Many of his followers, a lot of them prone to conspiracy theories, claim on social media that his arrest was just a set up.

Drug users are also “people”, KTG, so I suppose supplying their demand for drugs could be described as “helping people” too?
