The Greek Parliament published the assets of political party leaders and other state officials, the so-called “pothen esches” – where from- declarations of a total of 1,000 individuals on Monday. They have been published with a delay of two years.
The published assets of the political leaders and all liable political figures such as MPs, MEPs, Ministers, General Secretaries etc) refer to the two-year period 2023-2024, that is the fiscal years 2022 and 2023.

Stefanos Kasselakis appears to be the richest politician, while the Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis continues to be rich with a strong portfolio.
The poorest political leader is Dimitris Natsios (religious NIKI).
The richest MP is reportedly the now independent Pavlos Sarakis, who from 179,000 euros in 2023 declared 18.4 million euros in 2024. He was originally elected MP with the Greek Solution and owes the impressive increase in his income to the astronomical fee he legally received from the US as a lawyer for the protected witnesses in the Novartis scandal case.
As almost every year, PM Mitsotakis appears based on assets to have strong deposits and participation in dozens of properties, however this year the former president of SYRIZA and head of the Democracy Movement, Stefanos Kasselakis, makes a dynamic appearance.
Leaders’ assets
Kyriakos Mitsotakis (2024) declares income of 70,456 euros, shares and bonds in euros and dollars worth 528,000, deposits of 110,000 euros and registrations in 26 properties in Ioannina, the Cyclades and Crete. He also declares 2 vehicles, participation in the company KIRYX SA [newspaper in Chania]. He has also loan obligations of 160,560 euros, also to one of his sisters.
Stefanos Kasselakis declares an income of $1,749,000, with shares worth $3.77 million and deposits worth $32,287 (dollars and euros). He also declares participation in 3 properties, a detached house in Spetses, an apartment in Athens and a detached house in the USA, and a 4,700 cc passenger car. He continues his participation in the companies OSIOS LLC and PURA VITA, while he also has significant loan obligations to 4 foreign companies totaling $1.65 million.
Nikos Androulakis declares an income of 128,610 euros, does not declare shares, while his deposits reach 1,076 million euros. The president of PASOK has 16 participation in real estate in Crete and Athens, 1 car, while he participates in 2 businesses.
Socrates Famellos (SYRIZA) declares an income of 72,505 euros, deposits of 57,883 euros and 8 registrations in real estate in Thessaloniki, Ilia and the Cyclades. He also has 1 passenger car, a business in his name and loan obligations of 52,401 euros.
Dimitris Koutsoubas (KKE) remains restrained in deposits and income, declaring an income of 66,158 euros, deposits of 10,684 euros and participation in two apartments in Fthiotida.
Kyriakos Velopoulos (Greek Solution) declares an income of 60,640 euros, shares of 15,000 euros and deposits of 268,849 euros. He also has participation in 4 properties in Magnesia, Halkidiki and Pella. However, he does not declare any vehicle, while he has no loan obligations.
Alexis Charitsis (New Left) declares an income of 72,897 euros, shares and bonds of 85,959 euros, deposits of 136,481 euros and participation in two properties. He has a small outstanding loan of 792 euros.
The title of the poorest political leader is occupied this time by Dimitris Natsios of Niki, who declares an income of 22,632 euros and deposits of 1,957 euros. Natsios declares participation in 3 properties in Pieria and Kilkis, as well as a 1,300 cc car.
Zoe Konstnatopoulou (Course of Freedom) declares an income of 100,238 euros, participation of 121 euros in mutual funds, 4,355 euros in deposits and participation in 3 apartments (Edipsos, Athens), a warehouse and a parking space. She also declares a 1,600 cc passenger car.
It should be recalled that these declarations do not explained where the assets came from.
