A 15-year-old Greek girl is among the missing victims of the club fire tragedy on New Year’s Eve in the ski resort of Crans-Montana in Switzerland.
It was her older brother who posted on social media a call for his missing sister Aliki Kallergi (Alice Kallergi.) asking anyone with information about her fate to contact authorities immediately.

The minor has dual Greek and Swiss citizenship and lives with her family permanently in Lausanne, Switzerland.
She was apparently for ski vacation in Crans-Montana and reportedly celebrating the New Year with two-three friends in the bar “Le Constellation”. The friends’ families have no contact to their beloved ones, too.
State broadcaster ERT reported that there are no indications that any other Greek citizen is among the victims.
According to latest information on Friday evening, the number of dead has risen to 47, while 119 are the injured with burns, at least 5 of them in critical conditions.

Identification of the dead and injured victims is difficult and may take a long time, due to the extensive nature of the burns.
“Le Constellation” has been a favorite hang-out bar for teenagers and young adults, a local woman told media.
It is still not known how many people were at the bar when the fire broke out, their age is estimated to have been between 15 and 25 years old, while some eyewitnesses claimed also some kids of 13 years old were present in the bar that horrible night.
Therefore, also the number of missing remains unknown, with many heartbreaking posts on social media by relatives and friends seeking help.

The majority of victims are so far from Italy, France and Poland.
Swiss authorities are still investigating the causes of the fire and the tragedy with first scenarios speaking of fireworks, one escape stair from the basement and no evacuation plan.
The tragedy occurred within minutes and videos showed people trying to break windows to escape, while others, their bodies burned, ran to get out.
Last year in Athens in Novmber, a tragedy was avoided in the last minute, when a birthday cake with fireworks set a bar in Pangrati district on fire>.
My thoughts are with all parents awaiting news. There aren’t really words for such situations. May God be with you.
