A series of earthquakes have rattled western Greece on Friday causing concern among the residents.
One earthquake measuring 4.7 on the Richter scale occurred at 11:05, with an epicenter 10 km NE of Agia Kyriaki, Ioannina, according to a statement by the Geodynamic Institute of the National Observatory of Athens.
It was followed by a second tremor with 4.3 R at 11:40.
The Civil Protection announced that there have been no injuries or material damages.
Head of the National Earthquake Planning & Protection organization, Efthymios Lekkas, told state broadcaster ERT that the phenomenon will continue and that seismologists are closely monitoring it.
Locals have been complaining on social media about a series of tremors in the last couple of days.
