Greece’s Foreign Ministry has issued an urgent press release addressed to the 250 Greeks living in Libya. Greek citizens who want to be evacuated on board of a ship should contact the Greek embassy in Libya. Telephone numbers (0021) 8213336978 and (0021) 8213338563. Alternatively they can call the Crisis Management Unit at the FM in Athens (0030) 210 3681730.
Greece sent merchant ship “Minerva Antonia” to Libya at the port of RA’S LANUF, at the Gulf of Sidra in order to repatriate the Greeks trapped in the violence and chaos. The ship will sail from Libya on Wednesday.
Greece had readed 2 C-130 to repatriate Greeks but they couldn’t obtain landing permission.
