First opinion poll after elections: SYRIZA down to 18.4% from 35.5%

I don’t know, if it’s the seasonal flu. Bones are aching, coughing, a general feeling of weakness. But I am not alone. SYRIZa doesn’t feel well either. In the first public opinion poll since the elections in September, the party of Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras has apparently lost more than 17% of its electorate. What is also interesting is that 3 of the parliament parties are below the 3% threshold.

Public Opinion Poll conducted by Kapa Research for newspaper To Vima, Sunday edition.

SYRIZA 18.4%

New Democracy 14.9%

Golden Dawn 5.6% PASOK 4.4%

Centrists Union 2.3%, To Potami 2.2% Independent Greeks(ANEL) 2.1%

If they would be elections day, 15.9% said, they were ‘undecided’ and 18.2% said ‘they wouldn’t go voting.’

71.4% of the respondents thinks “negative” of the SYRIZA-ANEL coalition

65% of the respondents see as “negative” all the important initiatives taken by the government since last January.

23.5% of respondents thinks the government should build a coalition with PASOK, Potami and Centrists’ Union, should it loses the majority in Parliament.

37.8% wants an ecumenical coalition with ND, while 25.8% would like to see ‘resignation and early elections’.

PS the problem is that there is no alternative to SYRIZA. The so-called ‘alternative’, the  conservative ND has been wasting time of good two months, with first-class party officials to fight against each other for ND’s new leadership thus producing zero plans on how the country could escape the economic crisis.
