The sound was loud and had many Athenians rush to their windows and look up to the sky. What they saw were fighter jets performing low flights over the Acropolis. No, it wasn’t an invention by a foreign country. It was just two US F-15 and two Greek F-16 flying over the Acropolis, so around 11:30 on Wednesday morning.

Why?

According to Greek media, the fighter jets flew over the Acropolis as the joint drill “Iniochos” was coming to end and the pilots had expressed the wish to fly over Athens’ Holy Rock and take pictures.
Pictures from AthensNewsAgency, more of them here.
A twitter follower @Emerson14 sent me also this, his version of fighter jets over Acropolis

I have the feeling this is photoshopped as these fighters are much more than the 2 F-15 and the 2 F-16…
Well, the EU supposedly threatened Tsipras with tanks on the streets of Athens (question is, whose tanks?) so why not fighter jets over the symbol of democracy, the Acropolis?
But probably this is some sort of expensive photo shoot.
