“Austerity Air Conditioning”: One A/C for two rooms – seen in hotel in Greece

The tourists were surprised about the construction and tried to find out what it was. It was “austerity air conditioning” or “shared A/C” : One A/C for two rooms.

The hotel is on the island of Lefkada at the Ionian Sea.

The pictures was uploaded on Facebook and as expected went viral on Greek internet.

Greek websites report that the hotel owner told the stunned visitors that the construction was aiming to cut cost for the purchase of an additional device and also cut electricity cost.

In this way, the hotel prices remained competitive, the hotelier claimed.

It looks as if the On/Off remote control was in the other room.

I have no idea how the hotelier plans to solve an A/C crisis, if tourists in one room do want leave the summer heat outside the room and the other party would not want to.

Meanwhile, the other half of the A/C was spotted in another room, in another hotel on the island of Crete!

Κρήτη: Αυτό είναι το άλλο μισό του κλιματιστικού που έγινε viral - Οι φωτογραφίες που κάνουν θραύση στο διαδίκτυο!

This other half was spotted in a hotel in Crete and the picture was uploaded by local Zarpanews.gr.

Apparently, the first hotelier was a real inventor inspiring colleagues to do the same thing.

PS Some claimed the hotel was on Crete.
