The Greek government put an end to the conflict among apartment owners in multi-storey buildings struggling to supply their homes with heating. Amendment N. 4447/2016 – OG 241 A ’12/23/2016 passed through the Parliament on 23. December 2016
apartment owners may decide in favor of autonomous heating without the approval of 50% plus 1 vote of the general assembly of apartment owners.
This is a very essential move as in the years of economic crisis, many apartments in multi-storey buildings had to spend the winter without heating because not all residents could afford the extra money to buy heating oil.
The new law applies as of 23. December 2016.
