General Strike paralyzes Greece, disrupt flights and transportation

The 24-hour general  strike organized by unions of the public and private sector ADEDY and GESEE will paralyze the country and disrupt transportation, including flights.

All public services including schools will be closed.

Public hospitals will operate only with emergency personnel.

Ferries and ships will remain docked.

Flights especially domestic ones will be cancelled or postponed due to a work stoppage between 8 a.m. and 12 o’ clock noon.

Trains will not operate from Wednesday midnight until Thursday midnight.

Also public and private media will join the strike, although in the last years, they would normally go on strike a day earlier in order to cover the protest marches.

Unionists will gather at Klafthmonos Square in downtown Athens at 11 a.m. and will march to the Greek Parliament, when lawmakers will be voting the Budget 2018 that will bring new and additional austerity cuts.
