Greek children are double blessed as Santa comes twice per year. One time on Christmas Day and on New Year’s Eve. The latter is the original Greek tradition, the first has been adopted in recent years.
In Parga, West Greece, it was not one but several Santas who came paddling from the sea.

It was the members of the local Nautical Club, who paddled along the coastline, all along from Kryoneri to Kamini.
The Paddling Santas distributed sweets to the children waiting ashore.
Santas on horseback

In Preveza, the Santas came on horse. The members of the local riding club passed through the city and wished the people who were enjoying the sunshine on Christmas Day “Merry Christmas”
