The Greek Foreign ministry has expressed its condolence and solidarity with the people of Toronto and the government of Canada following the shooting in Greektown district by a gunman on Sunday night.
Greece is “profoundly shocked by the abhorrent shooting in the Greektown neigbhorhood,” the Foreign Ministry tweeted on Monday. “We stand in full solidarity with the people and the government of Canada. We extend our sincere condolences to the victims’ families & loved ones and we wish a speedy recovery to all injured,” the Ministry added.

Meanwhile the number the dead victims has increased to two. After an 18-year-old woman who died on the spot last night, also the 10-year-old girl in critical condition after the shooting passed away in the hospital.
Police gave the age of the gunman as 29 but did not revealed his identity.
The carnage left behind 13 injured, some of them in critical but stable condition.
