Samaria Gorge on the island of Crete will remain closed to public on Tuesday, October 22, 2018.
This was the decision by the Forestry Department in Chania as meteorologists forecast extreme weather phenomena due to barometric low “Orestis.”
When the weather conditions normalize and no damages have occurred, the Samaria Gorge will open again on Wednesday, October 24, 2018, the department said.
