One should never provoke a jobless shipyard worker. The guys are tough, do tough work and have tough muscles. This is the reality with which policemen had to be confronted early Wednesday in Greece – precisely in Perama district of Piraeus, an area known to host lots of tough guys since… ever. The labor union of syndicate of metal-workers had a meeting when plain clothes policemen approached them and asked information about their future mobilization. The workers refused to reply and asked them to leave. The policemen apparently threw some verbal threats and did some insulting gestures and in moments…. workers moved to the police car, lifted it with their hands and turned it over.
ALTER TV reported that the policemen left the area running.
The incidents occurred a day after riot police and port workers clashed in Piraeus.
