Four public opinion polls published in the Sunday press show a slight priority for conservative Nea Dimocratia with the difference to left-wing SYRIZA being between 1.1 and 5.7 percentage points. With the exception of Communist KKE that suffers a decline, the other parties do not change their rankings. The new elections coalition between DRASI and CREATION AGAIN of pro-bailout and rather anti-immigrant stance has chance to enter the Greece parliament as the eighth party.
The polls are based on the question of “voting intention”

42% say Samaras better secures Greece in Europe, while only 24% say Tsipras.

64.8% of the respondents estimates that Greece should proceed to a tough re-negotiation fo the loan agreement (MoU)
21.1% wants cancellation of the MoU
Poll conducted by MRB for newspaper REAL NEWS:
ND 23.3% – SYRIZA 22.2% – PASOK 13.8% – INDEPENDENT GREEKS 7% – KKE 5% – CHRYSI AVGI 4% -DEMOCRATIC LEFT 5.7%
87.8% wants Greece to remain in the euro zone.
I tend to believe that a coalition between pro-bailout ND and anti-bailout SYRIZA could form a balanced government for Greece given the current circumstances and conditions. The one party would watch over the other and prevent grave mistakes or push for some fair reforms and why not? Some changes for the MoU. One think is for sure: as it is, it doesn’t work and harsh austerity is no solution. No jobs, no income = no taxes, no isnurance contributions.
Let’s not cheat ourselves: One small step from the lenders, one big step for the Euro zone.
you? us? Oh, Annie…. lol
Ann, I agree with you, and enjoy your letter to the editor articles in the kathy-mary-knee english version.
If Greece step out of the Euro, the borders go open for trade.
