Megara: Roma boy, 12, found slaughtered

The slaughtered body of a 12-year old Roma boy was found by passersby in “Vlychos” area of Megara, in Viotia prefecture of Greece. According to Greek police, the body of the unlucky boy had wounds in the abdomen, chest and neck caused by a knife. It is not known whether the boy was murdered on the spot the body was found or in another place.

The boy was living with his family in Mandra, Attica prefecture, and had left home on Thursday evening to visit his aunt in the Roma camp in Megara. The body was found near the camp.

Greek police investigates the issue.

Such crimes against children are a very rare phenomenon in Greece.
