Good news! Silver Alert, the service for missing seniors. announced that the elderly man found in Rotterdam, Holland is back to Greece and near his family. According to Silver Alert statement, the family of the man was found through the missing ads and the mobilization of the volunteers aiding the non-profit non-governmental organization.
The man was transfer to Thessaloniki with the support of the Public Health Department of the City of Rotterdam, Dutch authorities and Silver Alert who found a sponsor for the transport.
Ioannis Damaskinos was found by Dutch Authorities in Rotterdam beginning of May. He seemed to have lost his memory and the only information he was able to give was a name. His own.
The City of Rotterdam had requested the assistance of Silver Alert to find relatives of the man. At the end, all efforts brought fruits and a happy ending.
