The first round of the Presidential election is scheduled for 7 pm local time on 17. December 2014. Coalition government candidate Stavros Dimas will need 200 votes, a target considered impossible to be achieved.
The second round is scheduled on 23. December and the third round on 29. December. Dimas will need 200 votes on the second round and 180 in the third.
Even the target of getting together 180 votes in the 3. round seems impossible.
Nea Dimokratia & PASOK have together 155 seats in the Parliament.
According to media, from the 24 independent MPs 6 favor YES for the moment, 7 say clearly NO, 3 ‘rather No’ and 3 do not express opinion.
Opposition parties SYRIZA, Independent Greeks, Communist KKE, Democratic Left and Golden dawn will vote No.
