Schaueble: “Ever more people in Europe do not fully understand what we do”

The European Union cannot have a business as usual approach after Britain voted to leave the bloc, German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble said on Monday, adding that EU leaders should address popular dissatisfaction.

“I said before the referendum that regardless of how the vote in Britain pans out we cannot simply continue as before in Europe,” Schaeuble said in a speech in the southern city of Fuerth.

He added:

We must concentrate in Europe on accommodating the fact that ever more people in Europe – not only in Germany, not only in Britain, not only in Greece, and not only in Denmark, and not only in France – do not fully understand what we do.”

I do not need to comment here. I just post some comments from Twitter

@EuropeanBerlin

Tragically many know to well, what Schäuble did to them. Some even died because of the policies he helped impose.

Schäuble and the citizens of Europe, a tragedy: The lonesome savvy, misunderstood by those he ruined.

@callingyouout44  destroy countries ?

PS I hear, Schaeuble’s next book will be inspired by Robertt Graves’ “I, Claudius, the God” and will be entitled “Me, Wolfgang, the €mperor and my new clothes”

  3. Schaeuble’s time has passed, but he has not noticed. Poor guy.

    As 75% of British youth boycotted the farce and didn’t vote at all they don’t care about your shit, if UK is EU or not and gave the correct answer to the British democrazy dictatorscum who has thrown thousands of anti-rascist rioters into jail plus in a special kinda nazi-style even punished their families by kicking them out of their homes and the welfare-system.
