A security camera caught a pet owner abandoning a dog in the center of Kalamaria suburb of Thessaloniki in Northern Greece.
The driver of a red Opel Corsa stops the car outside a petrol station and lets the dog out in what it seems a short rambling around.
The dog happily jumps among the passing and parked cars, crosses the street, turns back to the car and continues to enjoy the day.
Poor fella! While he (or she) is making a new round in the area, the heartless owner slowly drives away.
The video was uploaded on Facebook by the worker at the petrol station who had noticed that something ‘strange’ was taking place. When the car drove away, the animal reportedly followed it from Sofouli Avenue towards Plastira street.
The area was certainly not the perfect place to let a dog out of a car for a short walk.
The eye-witness told animal issues website zoosos.gr, that he did not note the car’s plates.
Zoosos.gr appeals on people who may see the dog to contact Katerina Tserou in mobile 6973809787 to check if the dog has a microchip.
KTG understands that the Opel Corsa driver is a woman.
Heartless Bitch! I hope the find her!!! She should pay a very heavy penalty, publicly shamed & never allowed to own a pet again!
I can’t bear to watch this. Two of my 5 dogs (former adespota) were abandoned in just this way. I hope they find the dog and a new home. A for the woman someone should take her to the most remote countryside in winter, push her out of the car and drive away.
