Greece’s National Meteorological Service EMY has issued a weather deterioration warning with strong rainfalls and thunderstorms, hale and powerful wind.
The weather warning is valid from Saturday, 28. July until Monday July 30 2018.

Analytically the regions that will be affected are as follows:
Saturday, 28. July
Chalikidiki, East Macedonia, Thrace and North Aegean Sea, mainly at noon and early afternoon
Temporarily also East Sterea in the afternoon.
Sunday, 29. July
At times and until late in the afternoon Central and East Macedonia, Thrace, North Aegean and Sporades islands.
Noon and afternoon hours possibly the rest of the mainland, mainly Sterea and Peloponnese.
Monday, 30. July
Noon and afternoon hours possibly the mainland, mainly Macedonia, West and Central Sterea and Peloponnese.
Athens and Attica are included also in the thunderstorm forecast by the National Observatory in all three days and rainfall on Tuesday afternoon as well.
The weather has been unstable also this week with sudden outbreaks of rainfalls.

A day earlier a sudden rainfall caused an emergency situation in several suburbs of North Athens.
