With wife, three children, mom and father-in-law, Matthew McConaughey spent an unforgettable vacation in Greece in July. The Hollywood star was so excited about his Greek experience that he praised the country and the great hospitality foreigners enjoy in Greece during an appearance to The Tonight Show of Jimmy Fallon and in front of millions of Americans.
“Greece is beautiful, it’s inherently generous,” Matthew McConaughey said.
“The air doesn’t bite, the sea doesn’t bite, the land doesn’t bite. People are family,” he said and recalled the respect Greeks show to elderly.
He said that they were so excited about their Greek vacation “in paradise” that when the three-week holiday was over they decided to give it an extension of another week.
They were on the island of Antiparos when they decided to extend their holidays.
“Everybody unanimously says Yes!,” he said except for his mother who had packed and wanted to leave due to her pilates class and to have her nails done.
It was his wife who persuaded his mom that these little things can be done also in Greece.
