The number of flu victims rose to 91, after another 17 people died last week, February 17-24, 2019, the Greek Disease Control and Prevention Center KEELPNO announced on Thursday.
Accoridng to KEELPNO weekly bulletin, the majority of the victims, that is 95% had contracted influenza virus Type A, as well as the H1N1 virus strain.
KEELPNO experts warn that the flu season remains in its peak and urge the citizens to still vaccinate themselves against the flu.
The Disease Center noted, though, that the cases of flu contraction declined in the week Feb 17-24 when compared to the previous week Feb 10-17.
Of 287 tested samples from across the country in the week Feb 17-24,, 97.1% were positive to Influenza Type A and 2.7% on Type B, the KEELPNO said.
