A formation of seven fighter jets from Greece and other countries flew over the Acropolis in Athens stunning locals and tourists. The formation consisted of F-35, F-4, Mirage-2000, Tornado and F-16 from Greece, Italy, Israel and the USA participating in the multinational exercise INIOHOS 2019.
The jets took off from the military base in Andravida, Peloponnese, and flew to Athens and the Acropolis after passing over the bridge of Rio-Antirio at the Gulf of Corinth.




IT is a tradition that a formation of jets participating in the exercise fly over the Greek capital.
Multinational military exercise INIOHOS 2019 started in Andravida on April 1 and is going to last 15 days. It is an annual middle-scale exercise, one of the larger to take place in the central Mediterranean.
The exercise involves most of the Hellenic Air Forces jets fleet and a number of aircraft from US, Cyprus, Italy, Israel and United Emirates.
