Greece’s National Meteorological Service EMY has issued a weather warning for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, June 3-55 2019. Meteorologists forecast rainfalls and storms that will be locally intense and accompanied by hail fall.
According to the warning the following Greek regions will be affected:
Monday, June 3
Macedonia, Thrace, Epirus, West Sterea, North regions of Thessaly.
The weather phenomena will weaken in the night except for Macedonia.
Tuesday- Wednesday, June 4-5
Macedonia, Thrace, Thessaly, Epirus, islands of the North Aegean Sea. Possible also Sterea and Peloponnese mainly during the midday and afternoon hours.
Thursday, June 6
The unstable weather is expected to continue also on Thursday in the central and north regions of Greece.
A bad weather front hit central and north Greece also on Sunday, June 2. The system ZEUS detected more than 7,500 lightning strikes until 8 o’ clock in the evening, a total of 9,990 until midnight.
