Greece’s Civil Protection has issued a “very high risk” warning of forest and wildfires. The warning is for August 15, 2019, and concerns especially the islands in the Ionian Sea.
Yellow = High Risk Orange = Very High Risk
A warning has been issued also for Friday, August 16, 2019. The risk is “very high” and concerns regions in West and North Greece as well as East Attica, Evia and the Dodecanese in the East Aegean Sea.
Greece’s National Meteorological Service EMY has also issued a weather warning of rainfalls, strong thunderstorms, hail and powerful winds for August 15-16, 2019.
